Brief Description

FREE SHIPPING! Super clean SuperTone from the 1930's. Parlor size (12 3/4 size lower bout) Hawaiian stencil motif with very cool inlaid checkerboard binding. The SuperTone brand was the precursor to the Sears Silvertone brand. The top, back & sides are solid birch. All original tuners and even the bridge pins appear to be original. There are no cracks or dings. The action is low and the neck straight. The frets are straight across like old parlor guitars and not the modern frets with a curved radius. Currently it has Martin Silk & Steel strings on it to lesson the tension on this lightly constructed old guitar. Plays very well but the bass strings go a little sharp above the 5th fret due to the saddle not being compensated. Like most old parlor guitars, nylon strings would intonate better than steel strings on this guitar. There is no case with the guitar.
