The Kluson machine heads are all original and they turn smoothly and hold a tune well. The G string tuner button shaft is slightly bent but does not affect the tuning. The guitar has been expertly set-up and the frets have been dressed and re-crowned. It plays and intonates as well as you can get for a short scale guitar. The guitar has an adjustable neck with the adjustment bolt under the metal caps on the back. The original chip board case comes with it and it is in fair condition. Learn More

1935 National Duolian Resonator Guitar - SOLD

    Regular Price: $3,500.00

    Special Price $2,500.00

    Out of stock

This is a great guitar from 1935 with very nice action for finger style playing or you can raise the action for slide playing. It comes with a metal nut that fits over the bone nut to raise the action for slide playing. The serial number is C 8750. This guitar was owned by a slide player and so there is very little wear on the frets. Original green frosted duco finish with crystal like texture, original swirled resonator cone, original nut, original biscuit & saddle, original tailpiece & cover plate and original frets in very good condition. The machine heads appear to be replacements but they are of the period. This guitar sounds amazing! It is so very loud and bright. The Duolians have a metal body and this one has no dents on it. The f-holes are rolled and the mahogany neck is 14 frets clear of body. The guitar plays very well and the action is just right for finger style playing. The head stock has a professionally repaired crack that is completely solid and strong and hard to really see. The crack was on the bass side top corner and did not extend farther that the D string machine head. A newer hard shell case is included with the guitar. We offer a 3-day inspection period with a full money back refund minus shipping costs if you are not satisfied. Learn More
